Patricia Urquiola

She studied at the University of architecture at the Ecole Polytechnique in Madrid, then at the Ecole Polytechnique in Milan where she obtained her degree in 1989 Master’s thesis Achille Castiglioni.

From 1990 to 1992, she assists the lessons given by Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at theEcole Polytechnique in Milan and at the ENSCI in Paris.

From 1990 to 1996 she was part of product developments at De Padova where she signs with Vico Magistretti : 'Flower', 'Loom Sofa' and 'Chaise Longue'. In parallel , from 1993 to 1996, she opens a studio with M.de Renzio and E. Ramerino, she is in charge of architectonics draws, interiors, showrooms and restaurants.

From 1996 to 2000, she coordinates the design group at Lissoni Associati.
In 2001 she opens her studio following product design, displays and architecture.
2003 Designer of the Year for ELLE Deco International Design Awards
2003 invited as special guest to Melbourne, Australia, at Design EX COMFIA
2004 Guest of Honour Stockholm Fair, Sweden.
2005/2006 She designed the DAMASCO and LOG collection for Artelano.
