Olivier Gagnère

Olivier Gagnère speaks few of his transition from law and economy studies in Paris to becoming an artist and designer. We are not however lingering on this obvious move but rather stressing his progress towards being an artist. Olivier Gagnère has taken on furniture, just as he might have painting or sculpture, in a sensitive and intuitive way.

After first collaborating on the work of the Memphis group in 1981, Olivier Gagnère has kept on having one exhibition to another in France, Europe, USA and in Japan. Working on furniture means that he wishes to belong to Art and use, fiction and the real world.

With the Café Marly Collection, a prestigious café in the Grand Louvre in Paris, Olivier Gagnère has signed his second collection for Artelano. In 1994, he has designed: Mogador and Daytona bridge and added the Tetouan table in 2003.

In 2005, Olivier Gagnère has created the Lobby sofa for Artelano.
