Extraordinary beauty, can often be found hidden within purely functional structural elements. This is a concept well understood in architecture, and so perhaps it is not surprising that it was a group of architects who began designing furniture with this in mind. The brilliance of the Petit Confort armchair is the externalization of this structure. In contrast to earlier armchairs, the Petit Confort's supporting elements, are also its decorative elements. Effectively it is an elegant metal basket holding three luxuriously overstuffed cushions.

Unlike its larger cousin, the 'Grand Confort', the Petit Confort does not so much enfold its occupant, but rather it's close fitting seat contains and snugly suports. Often we assume that comfort must be inversely related to elegance and savoir fair, but as its name suggests, the Petit Confort disputes this concept, for it is not only extraordinarily comfortable, it is a classic modern furniture masterpiece.

Materials :The Chrome plated tubular steel frame is not bent but rather it's corners are welded and ground to an acute curve, just as specified by Le Corbusier himself. The sumptuous leather cushions are buttery soft, inviting you to melt into them. Cushions are filled with HIGH DENSITY FOAM: We use premium 2.0 lbs. high density fire-rated foam.
