This simple, unadorned form is both charming and honest, while being exceptionally
clever. Gerrit Rietveld's Zig Zag cantilevered chair has charisma without being over bearing, style
without grandeur. A favorite of purists and design gurus the world over.

Designed for the Schroeder house in Utrecht in 1934, the Zic Zac Chair as it was
originally called - was part of a collection of furniture designed for the same client -
the collection includes the Schroeder Side Table and the Red and Blue Chair.
